Today something really special happened! it snowed in the city at the university and at my cottage house in a village nearby!! May not sound overwhealming for people who live in northern Europe were snow fills the biggest part of the Winter, but for Cretan island people, especially the ones living close to the sea, snow is a “once in a year” phenomenon. In the morning I had lectures at the university  and by the time we went outside for a break a small layer of snow had already been formed. Instantly we ran outside, enjoyed the snowy atmosphere and also built a little snowman ❤ Afterwards i went to my cottage house which is closer to mountains and there was a beautiful white landscape so i just drove arround to capture some moments.

Maybe the magic thing with snow on Crete is that its quiet unusual to see a wineyard or a beach covered in snow 😉

here is the tiny snowman stating ” i’m melting for you” , the view from my balcony and an another overexcited human beeing who is endlessly gratefull for the wonderfull weather today ❤

So goes by another day in which i studied way less than i had planned but it was SO worth it 🙂
