Good evening,
Sunday today, we came back from Hamburg to Heraklion 2 days ago which took us almost 24 hours. Our flight departed on Friday morning and we reached Athens at noon, took a busride to the port in Pireaus from where we took the ferry to Heraklion… so, OK if there is one good thing about choosing the ferry which takes arround 9 hours over the airplane which takes about half an hour its the view that you get the hours when the ship leaves or arrives the destination. Normally the ship leaves Athens at 21:00 so that you can enjoy the citylights from above getting smaller and smaller until they vanish. When the ship reaches Heraklion at 6-7 am with some luck a beautiful sunrise awaits.

After this 24 hours “back to base” trip i spent half the saturday sleeping and the other half cleaning and organizing my home. Now i feel rested and as ready as someone can be for the continuation of the university semester!!
Good news: weather forecasts say it might snow those days even in the city which rarely happens!
Bad news: i’ve got to study for an orthopedics exam next Saturday so there won’t be much time left to enjoy the snow.. 😦
